Enforcement

We collaborate with authorities such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and other agencies to enhance compliance and enforcement of road safety laws.

Enforcement Strategy

Our enforcement strategy involves rigorous implementation and continuous monitoring.

Improving safety and enforcement aspects to ensure compliance with road laws to overcome the problem of accidents along our expressways.
Improving enforcement aspects to reduce the rate of accidents involving motorcycles in the emergency lane.
Monitor and take immediate action on road offenses to ensure safety and compliance with road laws.
Provide first aid for any obstacles, emergencies, traffic jams, and accidents on the expressways.
Strengthen enforcement operations by conducting integrated operations regularly with other relevant agencies.
Strategic cooperation includes the establishment of the JPJ Highway Enforcement Unit (UPLR).

Emergency Response Plan

We are always prepared to handle and manage unforeseen events on the expressways, particularly those that have a significant impact on our expressway customers.

LPT2's Traffic Management Hub

Every day we manage an average of 20,000 of vehicles that are navigating via our Expressway and up to 50,000 – 90,000 daily during long holiday and main festive season. We are connecting people from West to East with efficient travelling time.

LPT 2 SB is committed to a secure journey, exemplified by the cutting-edge Traffic Monitoring Centre (TMC), a pinnacle of sophisticated traffic management.

The operations of the Ajil TMC have been operational since 15 July 2016. This underscores its steadfast commitment to elevated service standards.

LPT 2 TMC, managing more than 100 calls daily is pivotal in disseminating real-time traffic information, ensuring efficient traffic management and coordinated assistance for expressway. This commitment instills confidence in every journey with LPT 2.

The TMC Team’s Role:

Manages the customer call/request received via 1-800-88-0220 (LPT2Line) and Emergency Telephones.
Monitors movements and operations of LPT2Ronda vehicles.
Manages the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) equipment such as Variable Message Sign (VMS), Vehicle Detection System (VIDS), Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and Global Positioning System (GPS).
Disseminates traffic information to users through X @LPT2trafik, radio stations, electronic message boards (VMS), and LPT2Line.
Liaises with the relevant authorities (Police, Fire Departments, Ambulance, and others) and provides tow truck service for faster incident/breakdown clearance on the mainline.

Evaluation

LPT 2 SB, a wholly owned subsidiary of PLUS Malaysia Berhad, is also part of the Road Traffic Safety Management System (RTSMS) ISO 39001:2012 Committee as an observer. As an observer, LPT 2 SB can learn and adopt the best practice for management of road safety, compliance and activities aimed at reducing road accidents and crashes resulting in death and serious injuries. 

Evaluation Criteria

Our evaluation is based on our commitment to continuously improve road safety.

The effectiveness of the initiatives that have been implemented under Engineering, Enforcement, Education and Emergency Response Plan.
Monthly reports to the Malaysian Highway Authority or the concerned agency.
Monthly reports for internal use for monitoring purposes.
Monitor the accident rate on the highway as determined by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).

LPT2Ronda

LPT2Ronda teams patrol the mainline 24-hours a day to assist expressway users. The Ronda Team provides basic free services such as towing (for light vehicles to the nearest safe location), minor vehicle repairs, and general traffic management.
 
To ask for LPT2Ronda services, the public can contact the LPT2Line at 1800-88-0220. LPT2Line is available 24- hours every day.

Traffic Monitoring Centre (TMC)

The LPT2 Traffic Monitoring Centre at Kompleks Plaza Tol Ajil, Terengganu is a pivotal command centre overseeing traffic on the Expressway.

Utilising advanced technology and expert personnel, it monitors real-time traffic, identifies congestion points, and coordinates responses to incidents promptly. With sophisticated surveillance and data analysis, the centre ensures safety for the expressway customers and facilitates efficient traffic management. Through its strategic location and cutting-edge capabilities, the LPT2 Traffic Monitoring Centre plays a crucial role in optimising travel experiences and enhancing road safety for commuters along the LPT2 route.
